Jackie places high value on listening to her clients, understanding their needs ,and respecting their hair. Originally from Syracuse, NY, Jackie Mathews has beendoing hair for the past 33 years. Starting her career in New York for the first 6 years. She then relocated to the Tampa Bay Area in 1991 and for the past 27 years has been working in the Countryside and Palm Harbor areas. Jackie believes in continual education and strives to stay at the forefront of her field with her knowledge of new products and services available in order to provide excellent service to her clientele.
She specializes in cutting edge coloring techniques, foil highlights and lowlights, color correction, gray reduction, fashion cuts, modern cuts, razor cuts, men’s cuts, kid’s cuts, and styling. She stays updated on all the latest trends so that she can give you the look you want; however,her specialty and passion is color. Jackie uses a wide range of Redken, Matrix, and Paul Mitchell products. In 2012,Jackie and her co-worker, Holly Savage, took a huge leap of faith and open theirown salon “The Mane Event” and have never looked back.
In her off time Jackie enjoys taking advantage of all the Tampa Bay area has to offer. Her favorite activities include going to the beach, boating, motorcycle riding, gardening, reading, and donating her time to the various local charities that are near and dear to her heart.
